Personal Profile

I was born and raised in New York City, where, at a very early age, I became a Brooklyn Dodger fan.

I live in Newburyport with my wife and three cats. I have two daughters, one in college and one just graduated.

I have been teaching at NECC since 1979.

How I Became a Reading Teacher

I love to read. My favorite escape reading is a good mystery.

I became a reading teacher because I love to read and also because I've always been very interested in how the human mind works. I really enjoy working with students and helping them develop their skills and use their potential.

My Goals for My Students

I would like to see every one of my students succeed in my class. If you make your best effort, I'm sure you will be pleased with what you accomplish.

Please stop by my office, C-222A, anytime. I enjoy getting to know my students, and am available for help whenever I'm not in class or at a meeting.
